About Us
Kanes Coatings is a mobile 2 pack re-surfacing business that brings your worn out timber furniture and cabinetry back to life. We do anything from spraying old kitchens, restoring worn out tables, also able to do new pieces aswell.
With over 8 Years experience, we are able to colour match almost any stain or paint.
The coating we use is a Eurpoean product. Becker Acroma, which is a Acid Catalyst Two Pack, that is very low toxicity which benefits both polisher and customer.
Cabinetry Process
Resurfacing of cabinetry is a simple onsite 2.5 day process.
It starts with day 1 being removal and labelling of all doors and drawer fronts. Secondly the cabinetry will be masked up to ensure no overspray on other surfaces, along with any filling that is needed and visible.
At the end of the first day 3 coats of undercoat will be applied, leaving it to dry overnight.

Day 2 begins with filling followed by sanding all the undercoated surfaces. The cabinetry is then prepped for top coating. The top coat process is again another 3 coats of the colour of your choice. Shortly after top coating, the full clean up process begins with removal of all masking paper and drop sheets. Which concludes day 2.

The doors and drawers fronts are then finished in a spray booth at the workshop, returning in 1-2 weeks to re-hang the doors and install the drawer fronts. Completing the cabinetry.​

About the Polisher
Dylan Kane is a highly skilled polisher with over 8 years of experience behind a spray gun, previously working in polishing of high end new architectural furniture and cabinetry, he has mastered the skill of paint & stain colour matching with a keen eye. He is now using these learned skills to provide a mobile service to the everyday person.
